Influence Of Family And School Types On Truancy Behaviour Of Secondary School Students In Ogbomoso, Nigeria.

Purpose: The study investigated the influence of family and school types on truancy behaviour of secondary school students in Ogbomosho, Nigeria.
Methodology: Descriptive survey research design was adopted for this study. The population consisted of all the secondary school students in Ogbomosho; the sample was made up of 300 respondents from both the public and private schools in Ogbomosho. Samples were selected from four public and two private schools. Simple and stratified random sampling techniques were used to select the schools and students that participated in the study. A self-designed instrument was used to collect information on the influence of family and school types on truancy behaviour of secondary school students.
