    Aerva Lanata (L.) Juss, commonly recognized as Mountain Knotgrass in southern India, is renowned for its documented medicinal properties steeped in Hindu mythology, known as Pashanabheda (stone breaker) in Sanskrit and belonging to the Amaranthaceae family, this plant addresses urolithiasis, the formation of stones in the urinary tract. Various plants, including Punarnava (tar vine), Bergenia ligulata, Shigru (Moringa oleifera), Varuna (Crataevanurvala), Kantkari (Solanum Xanthocarpum), Kushmanda seeds (Benincasa hispida), Coriander (Coriandrum sativum), and Jasmine (Jasminum auriculatum), are employed for treating kidney stones.
