    A Review on Relationship between Probiotics and Gastrointestinal Diseases

    Probiotics are non-pathogenic bacteria that, when consumed, have a beneficial effect on the host's health or physiology. They can have a direct or indirect impact on intestinal physiology by modulating the endogenous environment or immune system. They are made up of yeast or bacteria, particularly lactic acid bacteria. Probiotic microorganisms have been discovered to be useful in the treatment of gastrointestinal problems. From the mouth to the anus, Gastrointestinal (GI) illnesses affect the GI tract. The gastrointestinal microflora has also been suggested to be involved in the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel diseases in genetically predisposed subjects with immunological dysregulation.
